Aesthetics + Efficiency = Unity.
This is my simple formula for each time I embark on a new challenge to create.
Aesthetics has always been evident to me. It is the way the table of contents on a cereal box becomes an exciting play of negative space and stylised font. Sometimes it is how the vapor trail of a passenger jet conjures an idea of sweeping parallel lines. It can even be how seeing a jarring design sparks epiphany and informs my instincts for a later project.
Aesthetics is an inclination for beauty and appeal.
Efficiency is a painstaking journey. An imposing mountain that I feel compelled to climb. It understands human nature, technology, and how experience shapes every moment of our day—being ever-mindful of how small tweaks and implicit signals alter our behavior and how to translate that into a fulfilling experience.
Efficiency is a thorough understanding of the context of life.
Each project I work on requires dedication and intelligence to turn that habitual inspiration into a powerful, functional ending. The way the science and precision of use meet with the creative spark delivers unique and novel ways to create.
Unity is how I work, creating harmony between the utilitarian and the inspiring.
My roles at Southbank Software, My Occ Health Record, SixSix, and most recently BrewAI, have allowed me to hone this vision. Projects like designing geo-filters for Snapchat, a registration platform for Football Australia, or a new boarding app for Qantas enable me to extend my understanding of these principles. Each element of UX or UI design invigorating and validating this vision.
Ultimately, all my designs are motivated by this same formula. I ambitiously hope that this body of work will demonstrate this.
My passion and goal is to design and create positive experiences for users.

Snapchat is an American multimedia messaging application. One of the principal features of Snapchat is that pictures and messages are usually only available briefly before they become inaccessible to their recipients. In mid-2015, Snapchat announced they would accept submissions for Snapchat geofilter designs.
My submitted design was chosen by Snapchat to be an official geofilter for the city of Melbourne. It was recorded to have been used by more than 6,000 people in Melbourne in mid-2016.
